Selena and her band made history at RodeoHouston, performing for nearly 61,000 spectators and setting an Astrodome record. Her dedication to Tejano music earned her 36 accolades, showcasing her profound impact on the genre.
A Champion for Good Causes: Beyond her musical prowess, Selena was actively involved in various charitable endeavors. She served as a spokesperson for battered women, advocating for those in need. She worked closely with the D.A.R.E. group to raise awareness about drug abuse and its consequences. The mural beautifully represents Hispanic Heritage Month with its vibrant colors and lifelike portrayal of Selena.
